The Hari ~ Dog Friendly London

Tilly and I ventured up to London for a stay in a rather posh dog friendly hotel. We were lucky enough to be chosen as winners for their #PreferredPups contest, so as you can imagine, I was pretty exited!

Dog friendly discoveries are my favourite thing to read about, so I thought a blog post was in order summing up our experience of the hotel as well asΒ all the activities we packed in on our 3 day jaunt to the big city.

The HariΒ πŸ™

We felt very pampered, this was Tilly’s first time in a five star establishment, and the room was GORGEOUS.

A true lady of leisure!

We were on the eight floor, with an awesome view looking north over London’s skyline, looking out the window was a one of Tilly’s favourite things to do in the hotel room.

Enjoying her view of the big city.

We were able to watch Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland lights after dark.

The staff at The Hari are so welcoming, and kind, they even brought some Prosecco to our room! 🍾

One could get used to this!

Access to free wifi pleases me to no end, and The Hari’s wifi is really fast!Β The only thing I would change about the hotel, would be brighter lighting, purely from a photography perspective.

The Hari is in the heart of Belgravia, and close to Hyde Park, Green Park, and St James’ Park which were perfect for all Tilly’s doggie needs. 🌳 I will say one thing about Belgravia, whilst lovely, bins are few and far between! So if you’re planning on taking your dog, be prepared to carry any droppings for a while.

Out and about in Belgravia.

Tilly and I have stayed in many ‘dog friendly’ hotels where dogs aren’t allowed in eateries, which is a real inconvenience. I was so pleased to find out pooches are allowed in the hotel bar + restaurant as well as the cosy lounges, which is awesome!

Tilly enjoyed a spot of people watching in the restaurant.

I went for the classic continental breakfast, fruit, bread and juice. 🍎πŸ₯–

The staff at The Hari were so sweet and gifted Tilly her very own own personalised bowl and treats, as well as a comfy bed to snooze in, although she did most of her sleeping on the king size. I can’t say I blame her! 😴

The Hari hotel certainly lives up to it’s “heritage of hospitality”, Tilly and I had a wonderfully relaxing and enjoyable stay, it was a real treat to experience a little bit of luxury!

Whilst in London we made the most of the city sites and parks. We did the typical tourist route, and walked past Buckingham Palace, The Mall, and Parliament Square, where Tilly took a disliking to a statue of Mahatma Gandhi…oops!

Of course we stopped to take those classic postcard snaps, unfortunately Big Ben is clad with scaffolding, so we’ll have to wait a while for that photo opportunity.

Watching the world go by…

Every time I go up to London the sheer number of pigeons surprises me.

St James’ Park is home to some beautiful bird life, as well as some rather cute and very tame squirrels. 🐦🐿πŸ₯

Poor old Tilly isn’t used to such tame wildlife, and got rather exited by the squirrels.

I made sure to stop by Hyde Park so Tilly could have some well earnt off lead time, with her one true love, ball.

I’m ashamed to admit Tilly has a busier social life than I do! We metΒ Pixel, andΒ Roger (poodles) on a breed meetup recently, and the three of them really hit it off, so us humans were keen to get the gang together again. 🐩 🐩🐩

Posing at the top of Primrose Hill.

Believe it or not, Pixel and Roger are cousins!

With less than a month to go until the big day, we stopped by dog themed Christmas markets in Primrose Hill and Netil Market… as well as a cheeky trip to Liberty! The perfect excuse to start getting festive!

The poodle girls venture to Netil Market in Hackney.

Posing by the pretty house fronts in Primrose Hill.

We even managed to squeeze in an early lunch with Belgravia locals Eva & Amelia at a vegan cafe in Sloane Square, seriously yummy!

Amelia & Tilly go for a spot of lunch in Sloane Square.

I hope you enjoyed reading about our London adventure, and a big thank you to all our London friends for showing us round the big smoke!
