The highlight of the poodle calendar…POODLE FUN DAY!
Tilly and I spent the most wonderful day in Leatherhead, Surrey for Poodle Fun Day 2017. The charity event raises money in aid of poodles in the UK and overseas, but for us it is so much more than that. A chance to meet other poodle owners is invaluable, as they are far and few between where we live. Plus, hundreds of poodles to pet…what’s not to love?
Spotted! Devil Dood Designs. The very talented Emily (accompanied by Colin + Rhapsody) had a stall showcasing her brilliant paracord collars, leads and accessories. As well as the most adorable doggie bandannas and bow ties from Luna’s Loft.
I recently splurged an bought a zoom lens, this was my first day giving it a go…so bear that in mind with the photos!
As always, we couldn’t resist an agility run. Tilly loves to run round at great speeds (with me attempting to keep up), we managed to place 1st for the afternoon session (with a clear round)!
Watching poodles do agility has got to be the cutest thing ever.
I tried my hand at agility photography…more practice needed!
Thank you to The Pachesham Agility Club for organising this, we really enjoyed the course!
Spot Tilly. Amber Marie – Biro Portrait’s stall immediately caught my eye, as Tilly’s face was on the banner!
Amber is such a talent! We are in love with her portrait of Tilly, and bought a rather fun sequin cushion, and Christmas bauble!
Massage time. Tilly got a massage check from Claire at the Canine Massage Guild. Tilly loves human touch, so this was her idea of heaven. She got the all clear…tip top condition!
127 pure breed poodles attended the event, that’s 41 Toy, 35 Miniature, plus 51 Standards!
It’s always a pleasure to see Lynne and her gorgeous gaggle of poodles. I snapped some shots of her super star Freddie in the ring.
See more of her gang on Mojo’s Club.
Meeting Athena the poodle and her whippet sidekick Liberty (along with their human Sean) was one my of highlights. Seriously gorgeous dogs!
Something we always look forward to is the infamous poodle cart. Diane’s Standard Poodles are so calm and happy its amazing. Little Crumble looked so regal in the back!
I really enjoyed photographing all the beautiful dogs, and using my zoom lens was perfect for capturing some adorable candid moments.
The 5th annual celebration of all things poodle raised well over £1500 (and that’s just ticket sales) which is amazing!
We had an absolute blast meeting lots of fluffy poodles and their amazing humans. A huge thank you to the organisers, helpers, judges, and stallholders for making this Poodle Fun Day the best one yet!
