We had a fabulous doggie day out at Lepe Country Park. Here are some photos from our afternoon of exploring!
Tilly spent a good portion of the drive expressing her disapproval for the semi wild New Forest ponies and donkeys who were meandering along the roadside, and was even more baffled when she had to share her chauffeur (me) with another dog…the audacity!
Severus the Miniature Dachshund came along with his human Jaime. Tilly really enjoys the company of Dachshunds. She likes to have the advantage when it comes to other dogs, so Dachshunds must make her feel tall!
We started our walk up on the cliffs with great views of The Isle Of Wight and Portsmouth. The dogs really enjoyed looking out to sea, and making us humans nervous!
Of course our favourite hoodlums @adventuresofdoodles came with their human Emily too. The poodles were quite taken with a massive fallen tree, Colin gave us a small heart attack when he decided to climb up to the very top!
Our walk down to the beach included steep cliff edges framed with pine trees, open green spaces, and rocky paths complete with bright yellow gorse. A highlight was meeting Severus of @fachshund for the first time…beyond cute!
The beach is full of old concrete and brick structures used during D-Day for the construction of harbours, caisson launching, and loading men, vehicles and supplies onto ships.
The dogs had an awesome time exploring old D-Day ruins along the beach front, which is part shingle and sand, so not the easiest to walk on, but so pretty!
Tilly received lots complements on her new Devil Dood Designs collar, we love the rainbow against her black fur. DDD now have their very own shop on Not On The High Street and we are so so proud.
You really can’t beat a day at the seaside, we love Lepe!
We spotted so many of our favourite shops and dog products. Including PitPat, Pooch & Mutt, and Huxley Hound, who are in fact all contributing to our 10k Giveaway over on Instagram, go and enter for a chance to win some goodies!
I was so tempted with the beautiful accessories, Tilly was more interested in the raw food.
Tilly was beside herself with all the treats on offer. I picked up goose necks, salmon skin rolls, and dried beef cubes. I can’t help but spoil her. If you are in the Southampton/Portsmouth area, I recommend giving Not for Cats a visit, they have the most beautiful items, fun toys, and healthy treats. Now all I need is an excuse to go back!
